So Richard and I have been very busy working on our house everyday. The house is def not a fixer-upper, but we want to customize it to our taste. We are painting all the bedrooms…all 3, and one of the living room walls. We like the color coordination the previous owner did in the living room: 2 walls red with another wall sort of a beige color. We bought a new stove as the previous owner had a $13k Thermador stove that he took with him. So we have some areas in the kitchen that need to be filled in. We put in our new 1HP Wasteking Garbage disposal earlier this week, so we can finally use that and our German Miele dishwasher. We ran the dishwasher for the first time last night…and wow, it’s soooo quiet I could barely hear it standing next to it.

So what’s our next major project for the house. The fence…. We have almost 12k land size, and there is no fence. Although we are a corner house on a Court, we would like some additional privacy. We’re also going to concrete more of our driveway; enough to park at least 5 cars in the driveway. Once we get our new garage door, both Richard and I can finally park our cars in the garage.

It’s also very convenient doing laundry and not having to travel to do it.
