by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

Andrea and I recently went to check out Romance Wedding Services in Millbrae, CA at the recommendation Mayflower Restaurant, our reception location. The manager had shown us some impressive pictures of Romance Wedding Services work and so we wanted to see if they could do our wedding also.

How does one afford a house in the Bay Area?

by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

As if we didn’t have enough stress already, now we’re having to consider where we’re going to live after we’re married. Currently, I live with my sister in San Francisco and Andrea lives with her parents in a nearby city. My lease ends this Summer, and my sister would either have to find a new housemate or move out before the Fall semester starts. Andrea and I have to find a place to live sometime in August, and I will live there until we’re married.

Wedding Invitations

by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

So the wedding invitations are coming along quite nicely; not sure how many people know this, but Andrea and I are custom designing our own wedding invitations because we couldn’t find any particular invitations we liked. Plus custom designing it ourselves adds a special touch of magic and meaning, in my opinion.

Obviously I can’t say what it looks like because it is a suprise, but I can say this, it will definitely have a very autumn feel to them. These invitations won’t have the “cheap,-I-printed-these-at-Kinkos-and-trying-to-pass-them-off-as-real-nice-looking-invitations” either. We have a reputable printing place that does nothing but invitations and they will look Hallmark professional :).

Honeymoon in Tahiti

I always have wanted to go to the Bahamas. There is just something romantic and adventurous going to an island. After some thinking, I slowly started changing my mind about the Bahamas. It seems to have gotten too “touristy” and “commercialized” lately. Don’t get me wrong, one day I would still love to go there.I knew for sure that our honeymoon would be on an island. So what other nice islands are there; Tahiti, Fiji, & Hawaii is what I came up with. Hawaii would have been my last choice, partly because I had been there already. Fiji was too long of a flight to get there, 16-hours. That leaves Tahiti.

Our Last Anniversary

by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

Not ever, just our last Anniversary of when we first started dating. It was today, three years ago when Andrea and I began our story together. It has been a great journey together so far, and I definitely look forward to the many, many, many years we have ahead together.

We probably aren’t going to do anything tonight, we’ll probably do the celebrating tomorrow. I did have some flowers delivered to her work place though.

Happy Anniversary my love.
