Our story begins by a chance encounter. We met on an Acura car forum website. I was searching for help with doing car modifications. Richard and his friend responded offering help. We talked briefly on the phone a few times before we met in person. On Saturday, April 26, 2003, I met Richard and his friend in San Jose. After that, we started talking and getting to know each other, and we were spending more and more time talking less and less about cars and more about each other, our jobs, and life in general. We became really good friends, and eight months later, we began dating.
