Andrea and Richard

Here we are folks, the final week. The countdown to the Big Day. The last nine months have led up to what will be one of the biggest days in our lives, it’s where we put away our “books” as two single people and start a new book, the first chapter of two people as one.

We are so close now…so close, that i’ve been checking the weather forecast everyday. When we are within 10 days of October 6, then i’ll feel much more at ease, because then I can really see what the weather will be like for the “big day.” So far for the end next week, the weather looks nice; low 80s in the Modesto area, and low 70s for Milpitas. Let us pray it does NOT rain.

So just about everything is completed now. Our song list was sent to the DJ. All the itinerary’s are done. Just about all the vendors have been paid. We all had the final fitting done for the wedding dresses and tuxedos. I’ve finished writing my vows to Richard. Things are slowly starting to calm down now.

All that’s left now is to drop off all the items to restaurant, pick-up our floral bouquets, pick-up our dresses and tux’s, and head to Modesto next week.

…and then, the long awaited HONEYMOON!!

The bedroom furniture that Andrea has ordered from Target.com has finally arrived! Andrea purchased two night stands, a dresser, dresser with mirror and a bed. All the stuff looks really, really nice and is very well made. The night stands come fully constructed and once I get a chance to break out all the other pieces, I’ll let you know how much assembly is required.

I’ll also snap some pics of the furniture set once we get the NovaFoam bed from Costco. So far I only have the two night stands setup.

Can you believe this, we’re down to 2 weeks before the Wedding now! Things are at it’s all time most stressful because we’re trying to finalize the last bits and pieces before our special day. Things that are still left:

• Finalizing the itinerary for the Wedding Party and the restaurant.
• Get fitted (happening later today!)
• Finalize the table layout at the restaurant.
• Finalize details with DJ Rich.
• Shop for stuff and plan our itinerary for the honeymoon (not necessarily related to the wedding, but necessary never-the-less).
• Making the final payment to the cake person.
• Andrea has already sent in the final payment to Nona (florist).

We both can’t wait for the day! I’m sure all you guys are excited as well!

Wow. We’re down to three weeks now, 22 days. Time is moving so fast and we still have things that need to be done. Here’s the list:

• Seating chart (no, we’re not assigning people to specific seats, just tables)
• Get honeymoon gear (slippers, bathing suit, sun screen, etc.)
• Finalize our itinerary to send to the DJ, florist, and emcees.
• Finalize our song list.
• Finish writing our vows.
• I need to make the final payment to the cake person.
• Andrea, me, Chris, my dad, Andrea’s dad all need to get fitted.

And this is all on top of everything we need to do for work and such. Sheesh, there is not enough time in a day or a week anymore.
