We’re heading down to Modesto tomorrow to do a trial run of Total Image, a place Andrea found to do hair and makeup for our Big Day! It has been quite difficult for Andrea to find many (actually any) hair and makeup places in Modesto or even in Stanislaus County for that matter. The ones further out in Stockton and Sacramento aren’t willing to travel either.

Andrea and I attended Bouquets to Art at the De Young Mueseum on Saturday because we had heard that our flourist, Nona Tai, was a part of it. The Bouquets to Art was a very interesting experience, various florist design floral arrangements that complement specific artwork. Some of the florist had very cool floral arrangement ideas. We thought Nona’s arrangement was ok, we think it would have been better had she had a different artwork to design an arrangement for.

All in all, it was a very interesting experience. There was no additional cost on top of the ticket price to attend the De Young to enjoy the Bouquets to Art.

After checking out various places, at least 4 other florists, we decided to go with our first choice, Floral Design Studio in Fremont, CA.

We were very impressed with Nona’s attention to detail and patience with us. She is modern with a bit of classic is how I would best describe her. She helped us cooridinate all our ideas and use our colors. She was very helpful. We look forward to working with her.

Andrea and I recently went to check out Romance Wedding Services in Millbrae, CA at the recommendation Mayflower Restaurant, our reception location. The manager had shown us some impressive pictures of Romance Wedding Services work and so we wanted to see if they could do our wedding also.

As if we didn’t have enough stress already, now we’re having to consider where we’re going to live after we’re married. Currently, I live with my sister in San Francisco and Andrea lives with her parents in a nearby city. My lease ends this Summer, and my sister would either have to find a new housemate or move out before the Fall semester starts. Andrea and I have to find a place to live sometime in August, and I will live there until we’re married.
