Honeymoon in Tahiti

by Andrea Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

This is the fun part of wedding planning, the HONEYMOON!! :) When we first started talking about places to go for our honeymoon, we figured the Bahamas would be it for sure. I always have wanted to go to the Bahamas. There is just something romantic and adventurous going to an island. After some thinking, I slowly started changing my mind about the Bahamas. It seems to have gotten too “touristy” and “commercialized” lately. Don’t get me wrong, one day I would still love to go there.I knew for sure that our honeymoon would be on an island. So what other nice islands are there; Tahiti, Fiji, & Hawaii is what I came up with. Hawaii would have been my last choice, partly because I had been there already. Fiji was too long of a flight to get there, 16-hours. That leaves Tahiti.

Our Last Anniversary

by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

Not ever, just our last Anniversary of when we first started dating. It was today, three years ago when Andrea and I began our story together. It has been a great journey together so far, and I definitely look forward to the many, many, many years we have ahead together.

We probably aren’t going to do anything tonight, we’ll probably do the celebrating tomorrow. I did have some flowers delivered to her work place though.

Happy Anniversary my love.

Andrea’s Wedding Dress

by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

Whhheeeew!!! Another big to-do checked off our list! Andrea has found her wedding dress along with a few other “suprises”. Obviously I can’t describe what the wedding dress looks like, but I can say this, Andrea looks absolutely fantastic and beautiful in it! I’ll let Andrea chime in with more details and I’ll add more when I have a bit more time.

Our Parents Finally Meet

by Richard Bui - Posted Under: Wedding

So after almost three years of dating (and now preparations for marriage), our parents have never formally met their counter parts. My mom and sister has met Mark and Jane a couple of times, but usually informal and quick. My dad has never met Andrea’s parents or even saw them before today.

We figured before we get too much further into all the wedding planning, it would be a good idea for our parents to formally meet each other over dinner. We chose Yet Wah in Diamond Heights (San Francisco) at the recommendation of our friend, Ray.

The food was actually good and the ambiance was a perfect setting to have a discussion. (Be on the lookout for the Yet Wah Restaruant review.) I’m sure both our parents was nervous about meeting each other, but everything went great!

So another milestone we have hurdled past as we continue planning for the Day.

CSU Stanislaus

We went and checked out the college campus on Saturday. It was not as nice as we thought it would be. The Gazebo we saw next to the ponds seemed a bit barren. The water level seemed extremely low. We could not find any areas with green grass. Most of the grass had patches of dead grass. The waterfall over the rocks was not running. The low temperatures in Modesto, 30 and 40 degree temperature range, may have contributed to the lack of
